Lake County is a vibrant community with suburban, small town and rural living. It is situated on the shore of Lake Erie 30 miles east of Cleveland. With over 30 miles of Lakefront it has some of Ohio’s best beaches. Lake County is known for its diverse economy with over 600 manufacturing firms and a thriving wine and nursery industry. It is Ohio’s smallest county geographically but Ohio’s 11th most populous with a population of over 230,000 people. Lake County starts on the edge of Cleveland’s suburbs, and is comprised of nine cities, nine villages, and five townships.
