Festivals

Vintage Ohio Wine Festival
The most acclaimed summer wine and food festival between the Appalachians and Rockies is held the first Friday and Saturday in August. Annually, over 30,000 wine and food lovers travel to the Lake Metroparks Farmpark in to taste exceptional regional wines, learn a little, sample an incredible range of fine cuisine and enjoy the area's best musical talent. Vintage Ohio is noted for presenting some of the finest regional musical entertainment, as well as a fireworks display. A selection of gourmet foods is also part of the festival.

Painesville Party in the Park
Party in the Park, in downtown Painesville, is one of the nation's largest free music festivals. The festival features over 30 acts on three different stages representing several genres of music. In 2013the festival drew over 65,000 people from all over the country.

The FEST at Borromeo
The FEST is a one-day, free family festival for all ages held in Wickliffe, Ohio on the grounds of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland's Center for Pastoral Leadership (CPL). The day begins at noon and features national Christian bands on stage, entertainment, games, BMX shows, kids' areas, opportunities for inspiring prayer, tents with vendors from all over our area, giveaways, and festival foods.

Lakeland Jazz Festival
Since 1973 Lakeland Community College has hosted its annual Jazz Festival. While the festival features established jazz greats, it is also a venue for up- and-coming young local musicians to play. The festival also has an educational focus, as it provides various clinics as part of the program.

Celtic Festival
The Celtic Festival celebrates Irish heritage and culture, and features music, dancing, and food and beverages for all ages.

Willoughby Arts Festival
The Willoughby Arts Festival is presented by the Willoughby Area Chamber of Commerce and is sponsored by several local businesses. It is held in Historic Downtown Willoughby and draws over 15,000 visitors. The Festival features approximately 150 artists and vendors who are selected by the judges to showcase their work. There are also non-juried vendors present. The juried portion of the Festival has thirteen categories: Ceramics, Glass, Drawing, Graphic & Computer Design, Jewelry, Metalsmithing, Painting, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Textile & Leather and Wood.

Painesville Art in the Park
Art in the Park is a juried fine arts festival held in Painesville's Veteran's Park. It features local and regional artists whose works turn Veteran's Park tree- lined sidewalks into an outdoor art gallery. The event also has multi-cultural music, as well as food and refreshments from local restaurants. The event showcases clay, drawing/pastel, fiber/textiles, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, wax and wood creations. For children there is the Painting Contest, an interactive experience designed for children and families to explore the fun of art sponsored by the city of Painesville.

Fairport Harbor Mardi Gras
Fairport Mardi Gras is a festival which takes place on the beach at Fairport Harbor Lake Front Metropark every year around the 4th of July weekend. There are rides, games, food, fireworks, live music, and a parade.

FestiVille
FestiVille is Painesville's summer kick-off event. It is a giant block party in downtown Painesville, and each year will feature a different theme.

Lake County Fairgrounds
The Lake County Fair, held at the Lake County Fairground in Painesville each August, has been delighting residents each year for over 90 years. The six-day event features a parade, live entertainment, horse shows, tractor pulls, livestock sales and competition, midway rides, and a host of fair food vendors.

Mentor CityFest
CityFest is Mentor's annual summer community festival. It features live music, food, and a wide range of activities for all ages.

Willoughby Frontier Days
Willoughby Frontier Days hosts two events; Frontier Days Weekend and the Classic Car Cruise-In. Frontier Days Weekend is a three-day festival with rides, food, frontier exhibits, and a parade, and the Cruise-In is one of the most popular classic car shows in Ohio.

Concord Community Days
Concord Community Days is a unique family event planned and presented by and for the residents of Concord Township. It is such a fun weekend that many plan their own gathering around it. It includes games and entertainment, a 5k run, a parade, food and crafts, a softball tournament, and fireworks.

Willoughby Hills Corn Fest
The Corn Fest is a fall festival known especially for its corn hole tournaments and roasted corn dinners. It also features other activities including a classic car show, live entertainment, a 5k run, and a kids adventure tent.

Kirtland Kiwanis Strawberry Festival
The Kiwanis Club of Kirtland sponsors the annual Kirtland Strawberry Festival each summer in mid-June. Strawberry Shortcake, rides, entertainment, a flea market and a Friday evening parade down Rt. 306 highlight this over 50 year old event.
