Auburn Career Center is a joint vocational school serving both high school students and adults. Classes at the high school level are in broad range of areas, from advanced manufacturing to internet programming to welding. Adult classes are offered in the fields of nursing, emergency medicine, public safety, computer programming and IT, and skilled trade and industrial.
Lakeland Community College is a two year community college located in Kirtland. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Lakeland Community College now offers 1032 credit courses, 55 degrees, 95 certificates, and transfer modules that provide transferable credits to other colleges and universities located all over the country. It is also a cultural center, hosting professional theater productions, frequent concerts, and art shows that are housed in one of the largest galleries in Northeastern Ohio.
Founded in 1856, Lake Erie College is a private liberal arts institution located in
Painesville. It is best known for its equine studies program, which attracts student from both around the country and around the world. Lake Erie College is accredited by the Ohio Board of Regents, the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Borromeo Seminary is a house of formation in the Diocese of Cleveland. It is located at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wickliffe, Ohio. Men who have been accepted into the Borromeo Seminary program live at the seminary and commute to John Carroll University, where they take most of their classes as they work toward their undergraduate degree.

The main hospitals are TriPoint Medical Center in Concord and West Medical Center in Willoughby. Lake Health is able to provide comprehensive health services, and has been a part of the Lake County community for over 100 years.
The Lake County General Health District is a public health organization in Lake County dedicated to promoting the health of Lake County residents through education, prevention, and early intervention, as well as the provision of certain health services.
The Cleveland Clinic is one of the largest private medical centers in the world. It is an academic medical center and therefore research and medical education are significant aspects of its mission. The Clinic has been ranked first in the nation for cardiac care since 1994.
HealthSpan is a statewide integrated care network owned by Catholic Health Partners, Ohio's largest health system. In 2012 HealthSpan took over Kaiser Permanente's Ohio operations, including those in Lake County. HealthSpan has care facilities in Concord, Mentor, and Willoughby.
The University Hospitals System is affiliated with Case Western University, and as part of its network it includes Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, one of the nation's leading children's hospitals, and MacDonald Women's Hospital, which is Ohio's only hospital for women. Its Seidman Cancer Center has the highest designation given by the National Cancer Institute.
