LakeTran is Lake County's regional transit authority. It provides bus service in the form of local routes, commuter express, and demand response. It's fleet is 100% ADA accessible. Laketran was recognized by the American Public Transit Association for Outstanding Achievement for a small system in 2000 and again in 2005.
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is the country's 41st busiest airport. In 2012, it served over 9 million passengers. CLE offers an average of 240 daily nonstop departures, serving over 70 destinations. International destinations include airports in the Bahamas, Canada, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. United Airlines operates a hub at CLE. There are more than 7,000 public parking spaces on the premises. The airport is about 40 minutes from central Lake County.
Akron-Canton Airport saw over 1.8 million passengers in 2012. It is served by Southwest, US Airways, Delta, and United Airlines. The airport is located approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes from central Lake County.
The Willoughby Lost Nation Municipal Airport (KLNN) is corporate airport located approximately 3 miles north of downtown Willoughby and 16 miles east of downtown Cleveland. The airport has two runways: runway 5-23 which is 5,013 feet long by 100 feet wide, and runway 10-28 which is 4,835 feet long by 100 feet wide. Facilities include a full-service Fixed Base Operator (FBO) providing fuel, major airframe/powerplant repairs, aircraft tiedown and hangar storage. Both 100LL and Jet A fuel are available. Based aircraft number 86 and include single- and multi-engine, turbo prop and jet with approximately 35-40 thousand aircraft operations annually. Additionally, there are 6 multi-tenant hangars to house private and corporate aircraft.
